Health Access Network Health Access Motto

Health Access Network (HAN) is a Place of Giving and Good Will…

Even in hard economic times Health Access Network (HAN) and its employees are still committed to being generous and giving to those in the communities we serve.    Over the past couple of months there have been a few very special occasions where HAN employees stepped it up even more than usual to give to others.

In November, Health Access Network (HAN) held a food drive at all HAN locations. The outpouring of support for the food drive was overwhelming.  Together HAN employees donated 2,612 food and essential items as well as $530 in cash. The four area food pantries who benefited from the donations were the Lincoln Regional Food Cupboard, The Howland Method Church Food Pantry, I-Care Ministries in Millinocket and the Tri-Town Baptist Church in E. Millinocket.  These establishments rely on the Good Shepard Food Bank for some of their support so when they can receive help in this way it adds to what they have to offer.  HAN would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated.

HAN has also been part of some great community sponsored activities recently.

On December 4th HAN took part in the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce parade and town of Lincoln tree lighting where free hot chocolate and cookies were offered to those attending the event. It was a great time and worth battling the cold to see the excitement on the kid’s faces when they saw all the lights and great floats going by.  Many people came out for this event and were very appreciative of the warm and delicious treats offered by HAN.

On Saturday December 5th HAN set up a craft station for kids at the Katahdin area community Christmas party held at Stearns High School.  There were many participants and HAN staff enjoyed creating Rudolph Christmas Ornaments with the children.

At the HAN employee holiday party, HAN employees brought unwrapped gifts to place under the tree for Toys for Tots.  In addition, HAN employees will continue to donate and collect gifts for children of all ages to give to Toys for Tots. The boxes are being filled so that many who are not able to have much for Christmas will have a little something because of Toys for Tots.  HAN is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients and community.
